The premierleague is the strongest league for many reasons but I believe the high tempo is one of the reasons why foreign teams struggle against the english sides. Italian sides just cannot cope with the pace and the intensity and now even the Spanish teams cant cope with the pace. It is not just the Italians or the Spanish who have this problem it is pretty much any league in europe so this gives the english teams an advantage.

It's a massive shame if pace really is becoming a more dominant factor in football. Football should be about beauty not graft. I'm a bit worried.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Theres a bit about this exact topic in the times, the italian press have been saying that they can't cope with the pace and power of the english teams. The times reporter said if anything the italian teams relied on power and that it simply comes down to the fact that english teams are technically superior to the italians

I prefer class, beauty, artistry, silk and mental attributes over graft, running, strength and physical attributes. Obviously combining both is a great sight but if football becomes so reliant on pace then it will lose its class.

Pace is the main reason aston villa are doing so well, its refreshing and great to see the game played at high tempo. class, beauty, artistry, silk and mental attributes are boring
