Villa's 7 upcoming games

away to Everton
home to Chelsea
home to Stoke
away to Man City
home to Spurs
away to Liverpool
away to United

I wouldn't expect them to take anymore than about 9 points from those games.

Arsenal's 7 upcoming games:

home to Sunderland
home to Fulham
away to West Brom
home to Blackburn
away to Newcastle
home to Man City
away to Wigan

We should take at least 16 points from those games, leaving us level with Villa.

Chelsea's upcoming games:

away to Villa
home to Wigan
away to Portsmouth
home to Man City
away to Spurs
away to Newcastle
home to Bolton

Very unpredictable because there's a lot of pretty tough games that you'd normally expect them to win, but in their current situation i'd predict about 11 points putting level with Villa and us.

Basically in seven games time i think we'll see it ridiculously tight between us, Villa and Chelsea because Villa have the hardest fixtures, then Chelsea and then us. If Villa's form does stutter over these games can they pick themselves up for the fina run in? I doubt it.
I reckon Villa will take around 12 from those.. :cooldude:

We scored a perfectly legal goal that was canceled out due to a phantom foul.

Villa's 7 upcoming games

home to Chelsea (d)
home to Stoke (w)
away to Man City (d)
home to Spurs (w)
away to Liverpool (l)
away to United (l)
home to Everton (d)

9 points
.
Arsenal's 7 upcoming games:

home to Sunderland (w)
home to Fulham (w)
away to West Brom (w)
home to Blackburn (w)
away to Newcastle (d)
home to Man City (w)
away to Wigan (d)

17 points

Chelsea's upcoming games:

away to Villa (d)
home to Wigan (w)
away to Portsmouth (d)
home to Man City (w)
away to Spurs (l)
away to Newcastle (d)
home to Bolton (w)

12 points

I've done this by allowing for a couple of unexpected results for each team. E.g we always beat Newcastle but are likely to only get a draw against one of Man City, West Brom, Blackburn or somebody.

So, in seven games time I predict we'll be level with Chelsea with Villa 1 point behind. Even if this turns out slightly wrong there is no doubting we'll be a lot closer than we are now.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

So who is the other team in Villa's next 7?

Well done for putting thought into it and staying optimistic, but imagine if you got the same points from the next 7 as Villa ....then they have a much easier run-in with a 7 point cushion...quite possible.

They'd still have to drop 8 to cede control to Arsenal, thats assuming that Arsenal win enough games to take advantage. Its going to be close though.
