BBC football expert Garth Crooks claims Arsenal are struggling due to Wenger having a lack of idea of what he wants out of the team. :tremble: :deepthought:

Garth Crooks don'e know shit. Wenger knows exactly what he wants to do with this team both now and 5 years from now. We finally have the pieces to play Wenger ball. Now all we need is to deploy the correct player in the right positions. (I love ya Ade, but bye bye)

Wenger has been building this team over many years, and the project will be complete very soon. So unless we see a mass exodus, if we aren't back to our winning ways within 2 seasons I will be very worried.

I'm not being funny but this was being said 2 seasons ago, unless he changes his attitude arsenal won't be successful

Wenger has always had the same attitude, and look at his CV. He will get it right.

Yeah he hasn't won anything for 4 years doing what he's doing, how is he going to start by carrying on the same way?

It takes time to build a team Ronaldo not just go out there and buy 10 players for 30m like some teams.

Because over those 4 years he didn't have the player he needed to play the type of football we won with in the past. We now have those players. (Nasri, Arshavin, Van Persie, Walcott/Eduardo, Fabregas)

Unless you get a strong player alongside cesc and 2 decent cbs you aren't going to get better imo

We don't need a "strong" player next to Cesc. That is not at all where Arsenal's problems are, neither is CB.

Really where are they then, and who's going to play with cesc?

Well said, anyway Wenger has not exactly been bottom of the league
over the last 4 years, we reached the final of the C.L. and only mad
Jens getting sent off ruined that. The ref said afterwards he wished
he had awarded the goal and kept Lehman on. We also reached the
final of the Carling Cup and came close to winning.

He has qualified for the CL. also in the last 4 years, yes debatable this
year but at last he has all the players to fit the puzzle once they are
all fit. Would love Flamini back and that is all.

In any case look at all the changes in Manager's over the last few years.
Top, middle and bottom with the exception of a few like Everton, United
Arsenal. Wenger hasn't lost control, he is building still and with the
talent he has it just needs a shuffle and he will be there. Who is
out there who could do better?

Denilson will play with Cesc in a dual box to box role. The CBs will be Djourou and Gallas, although Wenger needs to buy a top class young CB to take over from William in a season or two. I see this as our squad next season, and its a very good one too:

Almunia
Sagna Gallas Djourou Clichy
Nasri Fabregas Denilson Arshavin
Van Persie Walcott/Eduardo

Bench: Fabianski, Toure, Walcott/Eduardo, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Bendtner/Vela
I am soft.
