Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I think Homer's post shows that the answer to Moley's question is "yes".

Winner.

Welbeck won't be a regular at United. He is a link player from what I have seen, and that's Rooney's position for years to come.

I see him as being more like Berbatov, who is really the one who links stuff up front for us. He tries to get into scoring positions a bit more than Dimitar though. He has lots of skill but his touch is a bit erratic.

united dont have a great scouting network lol

look at the players we have brought through and won the league with them (beckham, the nevilles, butt, giggs, scholes) and players coming through now (rafael, fabio, possebon, welbeck, brady)
Well if that can be said about Utd then

Bendtner- Championship player
Diaby- Mediocre, not even as good as Flecther.
Song- Mid table player at best.
Clichy- Excellant when in form, but seemingly error prone.
Fabregas- Not exactly masterful scouting, as he was ridiculously highly regarded by Barca, would be the same as saying that if Utd had signed Wilshire last year then that was great scouting.
Vela- Looks to have great potential.
Wilshire- Special player.
Denilson- Decent, would take him as a squad player but no more.
Nasri- Potential was well known.
RVP- See above.
Toure- Brilliant find.

Arsenal have actually not had masses of success through the scouting dept, as they've either signed mediocre players or picked up players whom many teams had already signalled as having great potential.

You missed out loads of players and anyway Arsenal find so many players and make them into stars.

Haven't done that too much recently though have they?

Utd have made Vidic, Ronaldo, Cantona, Kanchelskis, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham etc into stars
