Carrick didn't even play against Chelsea...

But he is brilliant defensively. This part of his game of underrated whilst his attacking play is overrated.

Question for Ant: Is Johnson & Ireland even City's first choice midfield? And if it's not, how can it posssibly be better than Utd's. :deepthought:

They are. Johnson is the new Colin Bell and Ireland is the new Paul Scholes, a walking hurricane.
:hysterics:
We'd also be a much better team with Richards and Dunne at CB, Bridge and Zabaleta as full backs, Bellamy up front and SWP on the wing.

It would be if Johnson wasn't injured. Johnson last season was incredible. Ireland this season has been incredible. Reckon I'd rather have De Jong and Ireland in CM rather than Carrick and Scholes/Anderson/Fletcher

There's a quite simple way of settling this. Where are football matches won and lost? Midfield and in the last 2 seasons who have been the biggest winners in English football? Man Utd.

:hysterics:

  • Given is better than VDS
  • Richards is better than your RB's
  • Ireland, De Jong, Kompany and Johnson are better quad than your 4 CM's
  • Petrov and Robinho are better than your LW
  • Robinho is a better striker than any of your strikers
  • Our youth players are better than your youth players

So that outlines how what you said there, with a bit of tweaking, wasn't too far off.

Your matches are won in defence, where you are incredible. Ours are lost in defence. Our midfield and attacks holds it's own against yours, and our current goal tally suggests this.

City are losing half the time and struggle to peg goals back. United play in first gear when we are ahead but would play in sixth when we're behind.

So...

City 5-6 United...

And you're saying possibly City 6-5 United...

Your other 5-6 players must be absolutely attrocious whilst ours exellent, as the gulf in class between United and City is Tsunamic.
