Seen a lot about him on eurosport and about WC 86, he and Messi look identical players tbh.

If Messi is more talented than Maradona then Ronaldinho is more talented than Maradona too :D

But I've only seen clips of Maradona so I have no right to compare.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Yes, but there's a difference between talent and greatness.

Also, I think Ronaldinho was CAPABLE of the prolificacy Messi is showing right now but did not for whatever reason want to express himself in that way. Messi right now is hungry for WPTY award after missing out narrowly in the last two years. Ronaldinho is comfortably the more talented individual IMO...he had it all.

Don't get all on the defensive, I'm not an authority on Maradona at all, I like to think for someone of my age I know quite a lot about him, and from what I've seen he was a class player and one of the all time greats. Stating the obvious I know, but what I said about Messi was an opinion, taking into account the definition of talent and the amount I've seen him play. No need to get on your high horse.

im not mate, really really rate messi the next world player of the year a true talent, but i have seen a lot of players and maradona is the stand out one for me, hence my selection, i understand that everyone has their own opinion and i respect that, but you also have to put up as arguement as to why you think a player is superior to another, and my arguement is maradona achieved almost everything for club and country and individually, messi hasnt.....yet

Your 3 favourite players of all-time?
Cantona, Keane, Scholes

Your 3 favourite players of all-time, not associated with your club?
Ronaldo, Zidane, Bergkamp

Who do you want to win the title (can't say your own team)?
Arsenal, but realistically, Liverpool. I just hate Chelsea

Liken yourself (as a footballer) to a professional.
Ironically I'd say the footballer I am most like is Ibrahimovic.

Biggest buzz you've ever had from football?
I have to say the 1999 CL final, dramatic stuff!

Your favourite goal of all-time?
For Utd: Scholes v Villa Non-Utd: Probably Zidane CL final.

Most talented player you've ever seen?
Ronaldinho

Club or country; which comes first?
Tough, If Ireland were in a World Cup final and Utd in a CL final, I think I'd watch Ireland tbh. I love both immensely to be honest.

Andy Gray; crap or great?
Great.

Champions League or FA Cup, which do you prefer?
Champions League! I love giant-killing games but it doesn't get much better than two European heavyweights slugging it out in a 2nd leg Q/F or S/F. Football doesn't get any more exciting IMO.

Because Ronaldinho was only world class for 3 years and I know without ever watching him live that Maradona was world class for a much longer period.
