Sky Sports sources understand Juventus have made an approach to sign West Ham United striker Carlton Cole.

A move which would see him reunite with Ranieri. I told you he was world class :hysterics:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

...Excuse me, what is so funny lads?

Did you laugh when Madrid were in for Ronaldo? It is the norm nowadays, big clubs being linked with great players...

Afraid its not happening :

"We are not interested in Carlton Cole," Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco confirmed.

"We are very happy with the players we have in the team and we will not make any moves in the January transfer market."

I bet Del Piero is gutted. He'd have always wanted to play alongside a striker of the highest quality.

Yeah, Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet, Amauri, Carlton Cole...It just slips off the tongue. Del Piero to make the move to West Ham to find his dream strike partner?

Why did Ibra move from Juve to Inter btw? Was he one of the ones that left when they got relegated? And who else left at the time?

Yeah, moved because they were relegated. Zambrotta, Cannavaro and Thuram were the biggest names to leave aswell. Buffon, Nedved, Trez and Del Piero are true Juve legends for staying.

How many goals did Nedved/Trez/Del amass against division 1 opposition?

And were there scenes of Juve fans crying when they went down?

Why did they go down and Milan not?

Juve apparently had fixed a lot of referees over a period of games, whereas Milan just went along with it or something. Not much was disclosed about the Calciopoli scandal so I can't really say much.

Trez's scoring record was interesting actually...

2005-06 (Serie A) Apps 32 Goals 23
2006-07 (Serie B) Apps 31 Goals 15
2007-08 (Serie A) Apps 36 Goals 20

Better record in Serie A than B lol.

City went for Bellamy whereas the giants Juve are more interested in world class talent, it would seem.

Don't know the answer to the first two, but i know that Milan and Juve were both originally relegated, and both appealed, in the end Juventus started in Serie B with minus 10 pts rather than the original minus 30, and Milan stayed in Serie A with minus 7pts.

I'm guessing Juventus just fixed more matches

Winner.
