What should happen to people who rate Pires over Ronaldinho then? Hate to imagine... |

You could always rely on Crespo to score imo, Eto'o I'm not so sure. |

Eto'o has scored 144 times in 247 games since 2000 in Spain, and 96 in 127 since joining Barcelona. If that's not prolific, I don't know what is... |

Not only does Eto'o score a similar amount of goals to Crespo, he is far better technically and vastly superior physically. The guy leaves defenders on their asses... |

Eto'o is not better technically than Crespo was, what are you on?! I never said he wasn't prolific, but goals aren't the be all and end all of a striker. They played in totally different leagues, attacking in Spain and defensive in Italy, Crespo would have nowhere near the amount of chances Eto'o had and he would have come up against better defenders. |

Eto'o was much better technically. Better touch and far better trickery/dribbling. |

Is that your criteria behind the whole technical ability of a footballer? Now I know where you get some of your opinions from...

No, that's not the be all end all in terms of technical ability, but those are the major components IMO. |

Technical ability is all about execution and involves touch, dribbling, close-control, shot technique, passing. Variations of each of those components really...Eto'o is more limited nowadays but he was very classy in 06. |

I wouldn't say Eto'o is more limited, but in that team he doesn't need to display all those qualities... |
