United States teenager Freddy Adu, who is on loan at Monaco from Benfica, has revealed his admiration for Spurs.

The 19-year-old midfielder has previously been linked with a move to White Hart Lane.

'My dream is to play for one of the top European clubs, the top five.

'Tottenham are also one of my dreams, since I supported them as a boy.

'My objective is the Premier League, which is for me the best league in the world.'

Meanwhile, Luka Modric is set to rejoin full training and Harry Redknapp will make an assessment of his fitness over the weekend.

The Spurs boss keen for the 23-year-old to feature in Monday's London derby against West Ham at Upton Park.

'I'd like to get him fit because he gives us a different option,' admitted Redknapp.

'He plays in that hole and is clever. He can knit the game together for you. I hope he's okay.'

Skipper Ledley King could also return after resting his knee for the Carling Cup quarter final win over Watford.

 havent seen enough of him to comment on how good he is but he had all the hype a few years ago and didnt manage a big move after trials with teams like United.

He had ridiculous hype at the age of 14 yet hasn't materialised into the world beater he was 'certain' to be, yet...

So a warning to Arsenal fans, there's no guarantee Wilshere will become a star.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Winner.

I knew Adu would never be a star because he went to America to play.

Wilshere will make it. His technique and vision are too good for him to not succeed...
I am soft.

lol would hate to see Freddy there, but I doubt he will ever be good enough, he had hype, but aside from that he wasnt as talented as say Jack is. Plus he stayed in the MLS for too long, big mistake.

I know mate, just thought it was more applicable to Arsenal as many Gooners have high expectations of 16/17 year olds.
