What has Berbatov done in a Man Utd shirt against big teams? nothing.

He's played 3 so far, all away from home, two of which immiedately after joining. He was good against Arsenal in the first half.

But I'm still unsure as to how Berbatov doesn't warrant a starting place based on 6 games of a possible 38 :deepthought:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Tevez does more for the team and will score more goals.

Berbatov scored 4 more goals for Spurs than Tevez did for United last season so I don't know where your logic comes from.

Yes but I repeat he was Spurs main star and therefore their targetman.

Tevez has only scored more than 15 goals in all comps 2 times in his entire career!, last season and his final season with Corinthians.

He is clearly not a real goalscorer and i suspect he got all the hype back in Argentina because he is different to the rest, he works hard and never dives, not your typical Argie. thats why he gets in the Argentina team.

You have to go back to 2003 to find the last time Berbatov scored less than 20 in a season, he modelled his game on Van Basten a great finisher while I can only assume Tevez models his game on Taz from the loony tunes.

Off-topic slightly, but you know how Ant is always praising Robinho's personality, I have to do the same for Berbatov. Tevez is a firey twat at times (like Rooney) but Berbatov conducts himself well. His interviews are also brilliant -

I refuse to watch MUTV, but I'll take your word for it. I've always liked Berbs, reminds me of myself on the footy pitch

He is just a quiet person and it's very harsh to criticise him for being the type of person he is. It's just not in his nature to run around pointlessly.

He makes up for it with awareness, he operates so smoothly IMO, fair enough he doesn't suddenly accelerate away from players but he moves in such a way that allows him to use his good awareness and touch without being sloppy with it.

The only thing I wish Berbatov would do once in a while is turn to the crowd after scoring and punch the air or something like that. But maybe he won't ever do that he seems an extremely shy person to me.

He knows how to express himself on the football pitch though. Only thing I want to see from Berbatov is more conviction in his play. He seems a genuinely decent man.
