But theres a chance that City could have gone on the counter after the header and scored, but because of his handball play had to be stopped.

He denied United a goal-scoring opportunity if anything and by the laws of probability the ref should realise this (if the rules I posted are indeed the rules)...

Is there an FA Rules book anywhere on the internet?

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Fair play to him trying to do the right thing, Unfortunately no whistle was blown so he was punished.

" I jumped and that was when I heard a shout from Richards and simultaneously the sound of a whistle,"

Where is the word "Thought" there?

"I was convinced that the ref had blown for a foul. I stopped trying to head the ball and score a goal. I grabbed the ball so Richards could get help.

"To the contrary, after Richards yelled I thought he was hurt and needed assistance."

Thank-you :)

Use your common sense. He's seen the replays and unless he is a nutcase will realise the referee did not blow.

Well if he doesn't think it was right to send him off and makes all these comments about the decision, I'd be pretty shocked if he didn't take 10 seconds to look at the replay.

You're boring me now.

How do we know Gerrard cares about Liverpool?
How do we know Torres has long-hair out of choice?
How do we know Alonso isn't on steroids?

Get over it.

I'm more than over it. Delighted in fact, it's a game we went on to win in great fashion (something Arsenal couldn't do) and Ronaldo misses a game he was due to miss anyway. Over the moon me, I'm just interested in discussing the situation, something you fail to do with any logic

I simply can't believe Ronaldo. First he says he is pushed, then he says it's a whistle he heard. Half of our team was saying push and Ronaldo was switching between push and whistle, which no doubt swayed the refs decision.

If you were the ref and Ronaldo pleaded it was a push and then a whistle, who in their right miond would believe him in all honesty, it has lie written all over it.
