I love these debates, no-one listens to each other

Utd are definitely the best team in the PL.

That's why you're third?

I'd say at the moment, whilst Chelsea are trying to sort out their problems, you probably are the best.

I can be neutral here as Barcelona are playing better stuff than any team on the planet at the moment :D

I would agree that United are the best in the prem.

But we will do better in the Champions League this season. I just have a feeling...

Utd are every bit as good as Arsenal in terms of football, we are more expansive, use every inch of the pitch as opposed to Arsenal's narrowness of play so we are therefore more of a threat,, we have the mentality, solid defence, match winners littered all over the pitch.

Arsenal have good football.

Chelsea have a powerful, resiliant team, completely solid and Liverpool are a lot like Chelsea but a poorer version.

All in all, Utd have the best of both worlds a squad that can mix it up with ANY type of team. We win trophies regularly as well.

Dont give me this rubbish Man Utd play good football because they dont and they bore me to tears.

What absolute bullshit. Man Utd have poise, grace and flair. In contrast to Arsenal we also attack with the ball whereas Arsenal will ONLY make the ball attack. Arsenal are totally one dimensial in an attacking sense, always trying to pass the ball into the net, where is your Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka etc. Man Utd's full backs are far more attacking than Arsenal's solid full backs and our wingers take players on, at Arsenal every player is either central midfielder or a cm trained to perform in another position. This notion of Arsenal being the best football team in the world football is a media construction that people buy into because they accept the views of journalists rather than actually watch Arsenal in comparison with other teams.

Yeh, and judging by your response, you have no answer to a great post.

I enjoy watching Arsenal play more than United, only because they are far better in terms of entertainment as they give the other team a chance as well lol.

I've seen them four times this season, Chelsea, City, Fenerbache and United - all were great to watch.

I've seen United vs Newcastle, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Aalborg, Villareal (x2), Villa, Pompey and Celtic (x2). I dunno if its just bad luck, but United hardly played good stuff in any of those games.

So, based only on what i've seen, i have to favour Arsenal.

We have a solid defence and a scary attack. NO other team in the PL can say that. It's that simple really. Chelsea and Liverpool can keep all the clean sheets they want but if they don't score they don't win. Our defence can take anything thrown at them, their understanding of each others games is second to none.

And going forward only Barcelona can claim to be better in the whole of Europe, Arsenal don't stretch teams like Utd or Barca do IMO.

I dont think anyone can strech teams as much as United, Barca just tend to plough through the middle, thats why parking the bus is so effective against us. However, when you have Messi, Iniesta and Xavi creating chances for Eto'o, you know you're in business.

Yeah Barca aren't tradionally a wide team but they have players who are very effective in a wide position like Messi, the worlds best winger. :D

He has listed the games he's watched which happen to be United's poorer games and Arsenal's better games...so like he said, it proves little

Villareal x2, shit, but has to be expected with no Berbatov..Auburg, average performance, Villa, poor (again no Berbatov), Celtic (difficult to break down), Chelsea and Liverpool (typical), City (dominant, great football first half), Newcastle (shite, again no Berbatov), Arsenal (brilliant game with most of the quality coming from United) and Pompey (no cutting edge up-front but a Scholes masterclass to enjoy)...

Arsenal now compared to Arsenal invincibles.

The Invincibles played incisive, slick, explansive football. The current Arsenal side tries to be neat and tidy but it's not breathtaking football this season is it? Struggling to score against medicore sides.
