Should Ronaldo have been booked at all today. Remember Di Canio catching the ball as a gesture of sporting behaviour? Well Ronaldo's handball was deliberate but it wasn't unsporting behaviour, so by the letter of the law, should it have been a booking?

If someone could clarify the actual FA Rules that'd be great.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

1st yellow - Tackle from behind, failure to win the ball.

2nd yellow - Deliberate handball.

Simple as that. You can't say I thought I heard a whistle, it's like saying "I murdered him 'cos I thought you said to".

both were yellow card's imo and i am baffled as to why he did it, he heard a beep or a whistle... so head the ball in the back of the net and work out what happened after...

i just cannot understand why he did it :deepthought:

Deliberate handball isn't neccessarily a booking though...I'm sure of it. Very rarely will a player deliberately handball it without trying to gain an advantage but this case is an exception.

It's a shame Ronaldo is sent off for next to nothing yet Denilson gets away with a pathetic dive :bait:

Ronaldo will only miss the CC game so no biggy. I thought the ref in both games was superb. :)

Had you lost you'd be looking for an excuse to blame him.

Yep and rightly so because Alan Wiley and Mike Riley are biased and hate Arsenal. Yesterdays ref was fair nice and honest.

Right decision to send him off.

Tackled from behind...and a Deliberate handball.

He can actually count himself lucky not to have been sent off earlier after he sarcastically Clapped the ref after recieving the first yellow.

He's running the risk under the new respect campaign but that would've been a silly sending off.

It's happened to almost every other player who sarcastically clapped the ref including Rooney, don't see why there should be one rule for him and another for everyone else.
