I miss the anticipation his free-kicks created. Such an incredible shot on him, and the goal he scored on the by-line was not natural generating that much power and swerve.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Just pause that video at 3:38/39...has a ball ever deviated quite like that? It's almost as if it's popped.

He was a freak. 'The' free kick and the goal from the byline were two of the greatest ever goals. Absolutely incredible, goals normal players couldnt even dream of scoring.

the only person ive seen bend a ball as much is another brazilian 'eder' who played during the 80s, he hit a shot at wembley which started off going to the keepers left and deviated wildly and smashed the bar on his right hand side, amazing effort

and vice versa, ideally you'd have a mix of both

I'd have Maldini at LCB and Carlos at LB.

I'd have Maldini at LCB and Carlos at LB.

my cb positions would always be taken up by any of the following, bobby moore, franz beckenbauer, franco baresi, daniel passerella, so maldini slips into left back
