Argentina beat Scotland tonight 1-0. They were amazing for the first 20 mins and then sort of went off the boil after that, but Scotland were so bad it didnt matter.

Tevez was good, seemed to be involved in everything though he made a lot of mistakes. Zanetti showed he still has a lot to offer even at 35. Mashcerano and Gago were fantastic, they will probably be the best CM partnership in international football by 2010 if they're not already.

However, i was pleased to get my first proper view at Lavezzi (other than highlights and youtube) and what a player he looks! Sooooo fast is unbelievable, good at bringing people into play and probably the best off the ball movement i've seen from any striker this season. If Messi combines with him and Ageuro (not sure how they'll fit them all in) it will be dangerously exciting

Winner.

I kept telling you guys about Lavezzi. Such a great player, brilliant desire too. Much better player than Tevez...

DaGunners is so knowledgable about other leagues. I caught glimpses of Affelay yesterday and he looked brilliant.

Argentina could probably create around 5 starting 11s (55 players) and all 5 teams would be in the top 30 of world football. So much talent.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

You heard of Lorenzo De Silvestri at Lazio DaG? Apparently he will be the new Zambrotta.

Definitely. He's always aware of all the young players in all leagues really.

When I was in North America the amount of televised football from different leagues was unreal. You can watch football 24/7 :D

So, what did you think about Affellay's ability? (not his pace or strength :D)

I saw glimpses like I said but he immediately caught my eye surging down the left.

He is your typical Arsenal type winger. Plays like Rosicky or Nasri. That type...

Javier Zanetti is the most consistant performer in the history of football. Never seen him or heard of him to have a bad game.

Zanetti was good against United in 98/99.
