Inter coach Jose Mourinho believes the rest of the world doesn't like Calcio and he insists the game in Italy needs to improve... The former Chelsea man, who has experience in Spain from his time at Barcelona working as a translator as well as Portgual and England, thinks football in Italy is being shunned by the other major leagues. "Italian football is not liked by the rest of the world, even though it doesn't seem like it," said Mourinho at a meeting in Coverciano as reported by Tuttosport. "I feel like one of you. My family in Portugal has to wait until midnight to see a game in Serie A where as at seven they can watch a poor game like Getafe against Valladolid. "All the leagues are difficult as is winning, even if a coach is good. We Portuguese are like Italians. It's very important to win a game, even if it comes in the 89 minute without playing well. "Italian football is difficult, this is true. The coach needs to prepare the team very well. "However, as a coach I think it's brilliant, spectacular. I made four changes against Genoa and they adapted every time. "I am interested in Italian football as a product, but people abroad don't like it - especially in Asia where it's not sold very much. "We have to improve upon this in future." The coach was speaking at the Panchina d'Oro awards where, ironically, clubless coach Roberto Mancini scooped the prize. Mourinho will be hoping he wins it next year. I agree he is right I think I watch the dutch league more than I do with seria a. |

I've always loved Serie A, all the greatest players used to play there when I was growing up, and the clubs have stayed by me. It's not a boring league at all, I've never understood why people have said that. |

The Premiership will always be the best IMO. Other leagues lack the intensity, coverage and atmosphere of the PL. |

They don't lack coverage in their own respective countries lol. Sky Italia were showing football constantly when I was in Milan. |

I mean the coverage is better over here I'd imagine. Good pundits and I doubt foreign commentators can create the spine tingling moments certain commentators can achieve. It's usually GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL in other countries. |

Though i can't prove it, that is almost certainly bullshit. That opinion only based on not having seen a game covered in another language (or at least understanding what is being said). |

But seriously, I know the Italian league for example can't help it, but the running tracks around the pitch create an unhomely feeling. Enclosed stadiums are brilliant, it adds to the drama immensely. |

Yeah, i agree with you there, enclosed stadiums are the best, especially if they have a roof, i love a cauldron like atmosphere, even more so in night time games.
There's just so little money in Italy that they just have to share stadiums with other sports. |
