I remember reading in Ian St Johns autobiograhy that they did something like this:

1 player ran across the wall, another ran square forward from the ball, the ball was passed t the second player who ran and in turn he passed it square across the box for a tap in as the other team just stood there gormless lol

The surprise element almost guarantees a goal IMO, there are certain free kick scenarios where so many players are drawn to the ball that there are gaping holes in defence for a good passer to exploit.

Teams definitely need to be more creative with set pieces, its an area of modern day football that hasn't really evolved. With the explosive pace of modern day football, set pieces could be a lot better and really make a difference.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
