AC Milan have confirmed that David Beckham's loan deal from LA Galaxy has been officially signed and sealed. The English superstar arrives at Milanello on January 7th 2009...

A brief statement on the official Milan website ran as follows:

"MILAN - A.C. Milan communicate the arrival of the footballer David Beckham on loan. The agreement is official: the English champion will be a Rossonero starting from 7 January 2009, when the lists will open."

What remains to be seen is how long he will be at the club for.

People keep saying the pace of the game in Italy will suit him...we shall see. I have my doubts and see him more of a merchandising machine than anything...not sure why though; if you were a Milan fan, why would you get Beckham's name on the back?

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

he will go back to LA Galaxy when the new MLS season starts surely? MLS is obviously not that taxing from him.

Getting a shirt with his name on the back is pointless because after 3months he is gone. He will do well because set pieces are very important in Italy.

His contribution was merely average. He was well past his best back then but commentators still wanked over him :clown:

i didnt think larsson really did anything but make up the numbers, probably the most important thing he did was help put a positive spin on things with everyone talking him up

He may have to join quite a queue behind Pirlo and Ronaldinho...

Winner.
