...in defence?

They have Hutton, Bale, Stalteri, Gunter, Dawson, Corluka, King, Woodgate, Rocha, Etokko...

10 players covering 4 positions, but is that enough in the presence of a goal-keeper who seems more adept at flattening team-mates than claiming crosses?

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Gomes seems eager to sideline all his defensive players.

Problem is for Spurs is they are not strong enough in the air, when ledley king plays they do all right in that respect but when you have players that arent good in the air and a goal keeper who is only a shot stopper it is going to lead to leaking goals

I think they have enough defensive players but not enough of top quality especially as Woodgate and King are very injury prone.

Gomes is dodgy as hell. They have got more than enough depth to get themselves out of any trouble and climb up the table. Just how far they can climb with the squad im not sure about.

They have won 1 and drawn 1 under harry but its a bit of a honeymoon period thing that wont last for ever. They are guna get a few more good eresults then lose 1, what they do after that will be the real spurs.
edit my what? FACK OFF

You cant really say Woodgate is injury prone at the moment, havent seen him out of the team yet this season or towards the back end of last season fromn the Carling Cup final onwards.

It could only be a matter of time. I was just looking at his past when calling him injury prone.

I feel Spurs' problem is they have a load of girls in midfield.

Jenas & Modric are like a pair of toothpicks and when a game is closely contested it is usually won or lost in the midfield and these 2 arent going to dominating anyone.

Wouldn't read too much into them getting a draw at the Emirates, Arsenal dont have the toughest midfield either.

Chelsea would have Spurs worn out after 60mins.
