Manchester City are ready to flex their financial muscle and launch a bid for Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli if they fail to land Valencia striker David Villa, reports Leggo.

Leggo claims sources close to the Premier League side have revealed the club may even make a bid as early as January.

The striker fears his career will stall under Jose Mourinho and he has even threatened to hand in a transfer request.

If Inter refuse to sell, Balotelli could still join City on a loan deal from January until the end of the season.

This kid is an unbelievable talent, more talented than Pato and Bojan. Great power, pace, and finishing. Good trickery as well.

But I am not sure about his attitude, he seems like someone who plays only for the money...
I am soft.

He is indeed one talented player but he's only 18, not really what City need at this moment in time. I'd love for us to sign him, but we should be trying to sign established players in January who will get us goals and won't take half a season to settle in.

I know, what message would buying Balotelli send to Sturridge?
I am soft.

But thinking of it another way, 2 years down the line

-----Robinho-----

Sturridge Balotelli

Would rather we concentrated on giving Sturridge playing time though right now.

What about Jo?

Time will tell, I think he is a quality player and hasn't played as poorly as many people make out, but haven't seen any real signs of his class since he came. I'll judge him at the end of this season.
