Winners of respective leagues -

2001 - Madrid, United
2002 - Valencia, Arsenal
2003 - Madrid, United
2004 - Valencia, Arsenal
2005 - Barcelona, Chelsea
2006 - Barcelona, Chelsea
2007 - Madrid, United
2008 - Madrid, United
2009 - ????????????????

Chelsea are the favourites for the Prem and Barcelona look shit hot at the moment and are definitely the best team in Spain, provided Madrid fail to continue scraping victories.

Will the spooky tradition continue?

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I was thinking that this morning, glad to see someone else has noticed it too. Chelsea will win i'm sure, and i will always back Barca obviosuly.

I'm hoping that continues and the trend of the team that wins the champions league got knocked out in the previous season in the semis, playing the second leg away to the eventual winners...

...think about it :D

Winner.

Loved the trend that started from the 1st CL, for around 5/6 years the winners were the losing finalists the year after.

The PL/LA Liga trend is amazing though, if it continues id like Madrid to win obviously but if not i hope for a Utd & Barca win :)
