Yeah 05 FA Cup we completely outclassed Arsenal start to finish and the lucky bastards won it.

Ive never seen a luckier escape, we should have battered them 5-0.

I know but Henry was injured and we only had Bergknamp upfront so the movement was static. Winners always come out on top in the end. :cheeky:

I agree -

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Arsenal's tally of thirteen League Championships is the third highest in English football, after Liverpool and Manchester United,[87] while the total of ten FA Cups is the second highest, after Manchester United.[88] Arsenal have achieved three League and FA Cup "Doubles" (in 1971, 1998 and 2002), a joint record shared with Manchester United,[89] and were the first side in English football to complete the FA Cup and League Cup double in 1993.[90] They were also the first London football club to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2006.[91]

Arsenal have one of the best top-flight records in history, having finished below fourteenth only seven times. Arsenal also have the highest average league finishing position for the period 1900–1999, with an average league placing of 8.5.[92] In addition, they are one of only five clubs to have won the FA Cup twice in succession, in 2002 and 2003.[93]

I think the Utd team in 99 ranks high, better than the current Utd team IMO.

Barcelona in 2006 was probably the most talented easy on the eye team ive ever seen.

The most formidable team ive ever seen was the Juventus team in the late 90's.....Peruzzi, Montero, Ferrara, Conte, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Zidane. What a team that was!

Juventus had the 98 CL taken away from them by an offisde goal after totally outplaying Real Madrid. Probably the most unjust outcome of a game since we lost to Steua Bucharest in 1984.

The goal from Morientes was it? or Mijatovic?

Remember watching that one, the Juve team was an incredibly resiliant one.

Winner.

Sniejder said after the game that Bilbao are a team that only fights and this is what they wanted and to be honest it makes me wonder if he knows anything about Bilbao or any club. He is the type of guy who will say Schuster was manager of the year last season.

The Invincibles were a special team though even though it was short-lived.
