The Invincibles were a special team though even though it was short-lived.

Amazing goal.

Amazing goal, one of my top ten ever.

Winner.

I think the Utd team in 99 ranks high, better than the current Utd team IMO.

Barcelona in 2006 was probably the most talented easy on the eye team ive ever seen.

The most formidable team ive ever seen was the Juventus team in the late 90's.....Peruzzi, Montero, Ferrara, Conte, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Zidane. What a team that was!

Juventus had the 98 CL taken away from them by an offisde goal after totally outplaying Real Madrid. Probably the most unjust outcome of a game since we lost to Steua Bucharest in 1984.

The Invincible's run started after you lost 3-2 to Leeds, April 2003...(Probably the best Premiership moment I've ever experienced!!!!)...

So...April 2003-October? 2004 is how long the 49 games lasted...you lost to United and Chelsea won the title.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

How the sheep did you work that one out?

Blatantly the run ended in 2004...49 league games spreads over around 14 months.

Arsenal were the best team in the world until Barcelona bought Eto'o.

think he means the lifetime of the team as a unit mate, like i said earlier that team were taken apart in the summer of 2005 after beating united to win the f.a. cup on pens

We absolutely destroyed you in that final and you know it. Biggest injustice I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing.

I know but Henry was injured and we only had Bergknamp upfront so the movement was static. Winners always come out on top in the end. :cheeky:

though arsenal themselves experienced a similar thing when they dominated liverpool for virtually the entire game and was mugged by michael owen
