Chelsea star Frank Lampard is still brimming following his side's 5-0 win away to Middlesbrough on the weekend. The Blues utterly outclassed Boro with their best away win for five years to extend their lead at top of the Premier League table. "Boro weren't at their best, they would probably admit that, and it is a bit strong to say we could beat any team if we played the way we did," Lampard said to Sky Sports. "But if we are playing as well as we did, and we keep that up for the season, then we have a great chance. We can't take our foot off the pedal, because the moment you do that, things can change. "At the moment we are full of confidence, we have such a strong squad that we are coping with the injuries we have got, who are all top players, and the attitude we came to Middlesbrough with after the international break was fantastic," he added. "'People might have expected us to have a dodgy start on the Saturday morning, but we came out of the blocks and we played fantastically. "The way we set about the game right from the starting moment was brilliant with our movement and our passing. "That is the best we have played for a long time. I have said that a couple of times already this season, but it's been true." |

Thats not to say they can't be stopped. United, Cluj and Tottenham already have this season. I have faith that we / the team i start supporting if we go out will beat them in the CL. |

Chelsea are the team to beat in the league and cl. To even get a draw against them you will need to be at your best. |

I disagree, but that doesnt matter, we can both agree that United haven't hit form this season yet anyway, and definitely havent been at their best, because "at their best" implies not making stupid mistakes whilst marking from set pieces. |

Even if United were at their best I still fear Chelsea more because for me they are probably the most complete side there is in world football. |

Maybe, but they're on form now and if they lose form for one game then teams can take advantage in the CL. There are some far better attacking teams around. |

I dont think Chelsea are on form I just think Chelsea are them normal selfs and whats worrying is they have another 10 players to come back and they are like a robot. They have every quality needed and they have very few weaknesses. If Chelsea played Barca over two legs I would go for Chelsea always. |

I like this thread.... We have been very good, but we've dropped some silly points, notably to the Spuds! We've somehow managed to overcome an injury list, that would cripple most other clubs, and get through it, and i'm sure the only way is onwards and upwards for the team. It's not cut and dry though, the Premiership season is long and testing, and United might pull their fingers out and join in the race. Arsenal have made an impressive start, but once again you'd have to be concerned about their experience and strength. Liverpool.....

At their best, no team in the Premiership matches Manchester United, that's all I'll say. |

I'd say that it is impossible to say that... Last season, i'd agree, this season I don't really think we've seen your best. Unless we have, and we didn't realise it... we wont know .... i'm confusing myself... :
