Silvestre has shown against Everton that he is good in the air, aggressively attacks the ball, is decisive, and will throw his body around and make tackles/interceptions. Toure doesn't really do any of these things. Silvestre will bring the best out of Gallas. Gallas needs someone to go attack the ball so that he can clean things up from behind. That is his best attribute.

I would like to see Gallas-Silvestre against West Ham and for the foreseeable future. If it works than Wenger should stay with it...

Your basing this on one game but who was the only person to have a good word to say about Silvestre? When he was being labelled a donkey I constantly stuck up for him because I know he is sheer class when fully fit.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I prefer Toure to Gallas. Gallas has been a let down ever since THAT GAME vs Birmingham. But i agree, one of the two has to go, they can't play together.

Well, Gallas is captain and I think he is a much better defender than Toure...

Lol you make me laugh mate  when we bought Silvestre you said he is average and will only be a squad player and now he is the new messiah. I agree though that Gallas and Silvestre must be our CBs.

Yes please.

Spot on. If you look at our centrebacks, we have an issue when it comes to defending crosses, which both Toure and Gallas are fairly poor at dealing with. Silvestre, on the other hand CAN defend well all round.

If it's Silvestre and Gallas or Toure I would field Toure for now, and hope Gallas can reflect on his poor form and even poorer captaincy skills. Saying that, I would maybe put Gallas ahead of Toure only for big encounters such as Chelsea or Man Utd, where Gallas does tend to raise his game.

Yep I would go along with that but when Rosicky is back I would trade him for RVP.
