Damien Duff in the first half cutting into the box and tryd to bend it round hart, and a few flashed passed the 6 yard box that no-one got anything on, howevr if you asked if City created any clear cut hances the answer would be no.

Two goals and a world class given save aren't clear-cut chances then

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

he got a toe on the ball first, in the rule of the game it was not a penaly and it was not a red card.

How on earth can you know that?

I've just watched the replay online and it is simply impossible to tell whether Beye's knocked Robinho off-balance (thigh area) before or after he made contact with the ball. It was too close to see and I doubt any angles were caught that can clear up the situation.

No, 1 goal was a penalty that shouldn't have been and the save was not realy a chance just a brilliant strike from 30 yards, there 2nd goal was a brilliant move from city, why are you trying to argue the tide of the game Scholes when you never watched it?

this is why im 50/50 cause he took the player out before even touching the ball if he did so i still think it is a pen

I know its hard to tell but you do see the tiniest amount of contact with the ball before contact with the player.

But anyway the talking point should be did you FUCKING see Robinho's sly look at the ref while on the floor

Whether he got the ball first or not, he took Robinho down and the deviation on the ball was minimal. If he hadn't have taken Robinho down he would still have been standing and put the ball in the net. A penalty whatever way you look at it for me.

because i've just watched it again on television not some crappy quality vid off the internet, he got a touch Scholes, and thast as martin would have said is a FACT. no matter how much of a touch it was he did definatly get the ball ad it was a brilliant tackle, too good obviosly

'Cos he's unbiased and putting your opinions to shame. Your opinions have no basis, and he can see right through that.

He is not making contact with the ball in that freezeframe...inconclusive as far as I'm concerned.
