Rooney got himself sent off through sheer idiocy.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Ronaldo was playing football, his teammates was stamped on and he wanted to make sure the referee saw it, simple as that. The point is though, if Rooney hadn't been an idiot and stamped on Carvalho Ronaldo wouldn't have been able to help him off would he.

It was a red card offense anyway, England would have lost anyway, but England always needs a scapegoat, and this year it was Ronaldo.

No Ronaldo shouldn't have done anything he should have kept quiet and let the ref make a decision.

Its irrelevent whether Rooney stamped on his teammate, Rooney was wrong you just dont do things like that in football but Ronaldo shouldn't have gone crying to the ref ratting on a friend.

True they were not teammates on the day but they must show respect for each other as they are on most occasions teammates and friends all the time i assume.

Both players were wrong but dont think Ronaldo went over to Rooney for any other reason other than to get him sent off because thats exactly what he was at and it's disgusting IMO.

Stamping on someone is disgusting, Ronaldo saw it and took advantage.

Stamping on someone is also disgusting, Ronaldo did take advantage but what he done is a form of cheating and the worst most disgusting type as well.

It's a foregin thing though you will never see an Irish, English, Scottish or Welsh player stoop so low.

Lol, I usually agree with everything you say but I think you're way off the mark here.

You saying most British players would do nothing after seeing their team-mate stamped on? :deepthought:

I have never appealed to get someone sent off, but many of my team mates have. I can't stand it, but it happens and is not just a foreign thing, unfortunately.

Club team-mate loyalty should go riiight out the window in internationals. If Ronaldo was suggesting Rooney should get carded, it's only bad because it's unsportsmanlike in general, not because of the United link. Anyway, our players would be quick to react if it was the other way round. Or at least, they should be.

I think i was a bit off there tbh, if your teammate has been stamped on sure you can inform the ref what has happened but foreign players tend to persistantly call for red cards and thats what gets to me.

If i was in Ronaldo's position i would not have gone near the ref, i would have gone over to Rooney to ask what the hell he is up to, not be a sneaky fvcker and try and get him sent off.

Fair enough mate.

I'm beginning to like Ronaldo more and more now, I've even got a sig of him :smoke:
