I think ireland will qualify for the world cup, they have a good manager, i dont know whether he understands the players irish accents but im sure he still trains them and disciplines them well, im sure his gettin tips from capello aswell, as im half irish, ill be supporting them all the way equally along with england, Robbie Keane scored last night aswell which can only be a good thing.. what are your views on Ireland?/ |

I am so happy to see the Irish team doing well again and I really do believe that they can qualify for South Africa whether they top the group or get through the play offs. They have a great manager full of experience and he will help them improve themselves and giving them the right mentality to move forward. |

it wasnt aparticuarly fantastic performance last night against cyprus, but 2nd in the group, 4 points above 3rd placed bulgaria, and only 3 behing top placed Italy with a game in hand, looking good |

The georgia 0 - 0 bulgaria result was great for us yesterday. I think we can qualify and we look good for the playoffs atm but there is a long way still to go. Was pretty disappointed with the performance last night. Our CM was non-existant, Mcgeady was awful, McShane is an accident waiting to happen. Having said that, Keane ran lots but couldnt get enough of the ball, Doyle worked himself to the bone, duff showed glimpses and Dunne was immense. |

We have a very good chance, we are not playing too well though, Richard Dunne is as good as it gets at international level believe me, same goes for Shay Given, those two are so consistant it's unreal. Doyle was like Tevez on acid last night and if he can keep that going he can fire in a few goals. We just need Reid in the centre, Duff and Keane to rediscover their international form and we can win the group IMO, Italy dont look outstanding and they can crumble. Bulgaria are already playing catch up though it's still early days they could find it difficult. Im optimistic of our chances. |

we have a great squad and a world class manager, one of the most successful managers ever and you have to remember he still getting used to the players and all that.so if we are doing well now i can only imagine what we'd be like when he fully gets to grips with everything. mcgeady is great for celtic but hasnt really performed for us.hes a bit like nani, very skillful and can be a good player but can really piss you off at times.his decision maiing is much, instaed he wants to take evryone on and if he gets passed them he tries to take it round them again |

Do we watch the same Aiden Mcgeady? He is so frustrating, he tries to beat the same man over and over. If he gets past he usually tries to come back again to get the ball on his right and loses possesion. His crossing is awful and short passing leaves a lot to be desired. Bags of potential but doesnt show it at international level. |

Just because he does not perform consistently enough doesnt mean he doesnt have talent. |

I didnt say he didnt have talent. Im just saying he never shows it internationally. You said he is a bit special but when it comes to Ireland you must mean a bit retarded. |
