Sergio Aguero: I’ll try to convince Messi to join Man City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero says he will try to convince Lionel Messi to join him in the Premier League.

Messi has been increasingly linked with a move away from the Camp Nou and has recently been played out of position by Barca boss Luis Enrique, adding fuel to the rumours that his time with the Catalan giants may be coming to an end.

Aguero and Messi are close friends, having got to know each other in their time together with the Argentine national team, and the City man revealed he will try and get the four-time Ballon d’Or winner to link up with him at the Etihad Stadium.

“I will try to get Lionel Messi to sign for Manchester City. It will be difficult but it would be good if the best players were in the Premier League,” Aguero was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.

Would love him in the PL, we need some world stars joining us, rather than leaving us.

We might just be able to see if Messi can do it on a cold rainy night against Stoke ;)

Not having this 'Want to see Messi in the PL' shit, unless he's playing for Arsenal I don't want him in this league. Its not enjoyable when he is merkin your team lol, that 4 goals against us still angers me.

That goal where he manages to flick it up and over Almunia and then volley it in. Jesus. Magical. Majestic. So so beautiful to watch.. It's just, FUCK. Just so good.

That was my favourite messi goal. And it came against arsenal too, just adds to experience.

That goal really was coming.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
