Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Haha i never knew Messi did the hand of god aswell, remarkable how he has almost perfectly replicated 2 of Maradona's most famous goals.

Some brilliant moments from Aguero aswell he is class.

Interesting one, actually.

Maradona never actually said he prefers Kun, he thought that Messi pulls off too many tricks and has no end product. This came after an Argentina game when he called Mascherano the most effective of the national side's players. Which does NOT mean Messi isn't a damn good player.

Last season, in the CL, Messi featured prominently in both legs against Man Utd, and retained possession well, went past players brilliantly, but he did not create a single chance over the two legs.
Part of the reason for this is the team he plays in. He is not the central focal point of that team, and when he is surrounded by the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Etoo etc., it will be difficult for him to be the player pulling most of the strings.

At Athletico, Aguero is at the centre of most of the attacking moves. Everything that is good about Athletico will involve him, and that is why he will always stand out. Every player looks to play the ball to him, and so far, he seems to have delivered pretty well.

For me, Messi is more talented, but if Aguero developes as a player, and then make the transition to a CL club (like Torres did), then he will put an end to these debates.

I'd take Messi over Aguero if it was for the United squad. Messi on one wing and Ronaldo on the other would be a dream come true both have great pace, score fantastic goals, and are fantastic dribblers, on the downside dont count on much defensive cover. Aguero is another small forward so not really something we need when we have Tevez and Rooney(not really small just not effective in the air) though he is also a top class player and any team in the world would love to have him on there books.

If it was just a pick and not united related I think I would pick Aguero as personal preference even though I think Messi is currently better than Aguero over all I think in a few years Aguero will be the more efficient.

We wouldnt even be having this conversation if Messi didnt keep getting injured... he is on another planet to everyone.

Winner.

Ronaldo > Messi.

He had a better season last season due to the fact he didnt get injured and had the entire team built around him and he was playing in a team at the height of its powers rather than one that was falling apart.

An injury free Messi is the best player in the world no question. I realise he still has a lot to prove, but his talent is unmatched by anyone.

Incredible talent, yes, great vision, composure, touch, quick feet and dribbling ability, but Ronaldo is also incredibly talented - Not on Messi's level in dribbling, but his touch is on another planet, he is the most two-footed player you will see and his shots are venomous...pretty close in terms of talent...just right now, I believe Ronaldo deserves 'best' status. It'll probably change though.

Exactly Cule, Fergie is building the entire team around Ronaldo. That's why he is buying all these support strikers, just so they can play for Ronaldo.

He better be careful because if Ronaldo goes down for an extended period United could be in real trouble IMO...
