Dinho had a good left foot on him, not anything extremely special but it was competent and didn't hinder his game at all. His goal vs Milan at the San Siro is tribute to this, lashing at the ball with ease and finding the top corner. I'm sure this topic has been done before and I said exactly the same things.

Don't worry mate, I wasn't expecting you to understand the intracacies and depth to technical brilliance.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Zidane and Dinho were very different players.
That's great, but it doesn't defeat the fact that he wasn't as good as Zidane.

I agree, but I don't see why everytime Dinho is mentioned Zidane comes into it. Ronaldo was better than both but I don't mention him every time.

Zidane was better technically for me. Much more fluent, more comfortable on the ball, better first touch and control of the ball, stronger, better balance, generally has more facets of his game at a higher level than Dinho did. That's not to say Dinho wasn't incredible technically, his trickery, ability to beat a man, presence and goalscoring ability was all much better than Zidane's and when I say he wasn't as good technically it is only a matter of small margins when you're talking about 2 of the all time greats.

Zidane vs. Ronaldinho, Federer vs. Bjorg, Gerrard vs. Lampard, Schumacher vs. Senna, Tendulkar vs. Bradman. It's inevitable, and lol an insecurity in many respects.

People seem to ignore the fact that Ronaldinho could dribble at a much faster pace than Zidane and I reckon Ronaldinho has a better on the ball speed/off the ball speed ratio than Zidane.

Also, things like chest control, disguise passes and drilled crossfield balls all come under technical ability, and Ronaldinho betters Zidane in all three areas.

Drifting slightly off-topic and Wayne Rooney is one of the best at drilling crossfield balls I've ever seen, but many people ignore all the elements required to be a technically perfect player.

Zidane's chest control is on a par with Dinho's.
