Is looking like a good buy for City, very calm and composed and allowing Elano and Johnson to get forward freely. He is exactly the type of player Wenger should have bought, and Ł6m is hardly breaking the bank.

Winner.

I have been impressed with him in the past. He should prove to be a great buy for city.

I dont like Kompany's distribution. Inler is better, as is Michael Johnson...

Inler isnt better. He played poorly in the Euros, though admittedly as part of a poor team. YOu would expect Johnson to be a better passer though, Kompany's job is to win the ball, keep it simple and play to Johnson.

LMAO, Inler was definatley not poor at the Euros. And look at who he was playing with.

And I base my rating of him from his play with Udinese...

Kompany looks to have a domineering presence. Should compliment Johnson well.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Inlers a very average player and not really what Arsenal need.

Kompany is young, black, speaks French, wins headers, wins the ball in midfield, can play a simple pass well...

Why did Wenger not buy this fellow, he can play CB as well!

And how many times have you seen him play for Udinese? He is definatley not average. Much better player than Barry/Alonso...

is Inler better than Kompany, Barry and Alonso in the same way that Walcott was going to set the world on fire this season... :D

Not quite double figures and a few times for Switzerland. He's no where near the level of either Barry or Alonso. By no means is he bad but I don't see him being an improvement on Diaby, Song or Denilson.

He is definaltey better than Barry/Alonso. He is stronger than both, a better tackler, and better technically. Also, he doesnt take ages on the ball like Alonso...
