You make a good point there as before he was always Liverpool's main star attraction but now he has another player on the same level as him and lets be honest Torres has an amazing season and for me it is just a matter of time before he is the best striker in the world as this kid has the lot and it does not bother him that defenders try and kick him and put him off his game. Gerrard still played well and scored some wonderful goals esp the goals against Arsenal and West Ham.

at the end of the day, when you've watched matches with liverpool before its always been about watching what gerrards doing. He's been the main focus of the cameras, the talking points in the studio, everything revolved around him. Last season it was all about torres, so gerrard just faded away from the camera, his performances over all certainly didnt but we had the new "in" player at our team and all eyes were on Torres.

I believe Gerrard will enjoy playing with Keane and Torres so this is why I reckon he will have a very good season. If Torres wants to be the best then he must score more away from Anfield and work twice as hard as he did last season but he will come second behind Adebayor this season.

we shall see, bookies have torres as 4-1 favourite at the moment, I would personally be happy with him being 2nd or 3rd if it meant that gerrard and keane were both netting good amounts too. Much rather have plenty of goals from a few sources than just one.

Only time will tell but I agree that relying on one player to score all the goals can be unhealthy to the team and also dangerous.

I don't rate Gerrard as highly as everyone else but how can you come to that conclusion after 20 minutes of playing time? Was he really that bad? :hysterics:

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
