According to Brazilian daily 'O Dia', legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo has agreed to sign for an undisclosed English club. While one Ronaldo continues, for better or worse, to dominate the newspage headlines, the other one, a certain former Real Madrid, Inter, Barcelona and Milan player, is allegedly preparing to sign for a new club. Brazilian daily 'O Dia' claims the 'original' Ronaldo is about to sign for an English club. However, the newspaper does not reveal the name of the club interested in the player. Reportedly his knee is improving constantly after the operation he underwent a few months ago following his injury, which seemed potentially career-threatening. Ronaldo is certainly able to walk normally again but he still needs some time to get into shape, as evidenced by some recent unflattering pictures taken of him on a yacht. Some had said the player might opt to sign for the club he first broke through with, Dutch champions PSV, or a club from his home country of Brazil, or even a Japanese side. But if the news published on 'O Dia' is true, it would be Ronaldo's first experience in England, having earlier played in the Brazilian, Dutch, Spanish, and Italian leagues. His latest club AC Milan recently terminated the 31-year-old's contract. |
