Celebration on 35 years since we famously won the FA Cup against Leeds.
This will prove Sunderlands toughest test so far this pre season and they will look to continue there unbeaten run.
Ajax return to the stadium of light after they opened it in 1997.
Van Basterns side will give a good game.
Steed Malbranque will make his debut.

Sunday 3rd August
Kick off: 15.00 BST
Venue: SoL

Malbranque played 45 and did well.

It was a decent performance. There was apparent sightings of one Louis Saha around the SoL today.

The game finished 0-1 to Ajax, with Huntelaar scoring the goal mid way through the second half to end Sunderlands unbeaten pre season.

He got the winning goal though...

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Doesnt mean he played well though Scholes, and you know that.

Ronaldo scored against Liverpool at OT, did he play a good game???

Hence the 'though'. Fact is, he's done his job, scored the winning goal for his side as goal-scorers do.

Ronaldo is often detrimental to the side by losing possession; does Huntelaar ever have that negative effect?

Never saw the game so cant comment mate, obviously wasnt that bad, although the goal was a tap in from 8 yards after Gordon had made a double excellent save.

Nope. Poor player. Adds nothing to team play, cant take players on, slow, no left foot, weak, doesnt link up, doesnt help defend. But we will agree to disagree

But he can score goals for fun, which is what strikers are for.
