Winner.

They enter it as a passage into Europe... How many times have you been in Europe in the last few decades?

DannyBee is absolutely spot on in everything he has just said to be perfectly honest my little Mackem friends...can we not turn every thread into a Newcastle - Sunderland war though.

Back on-topic -

Scholes, Giggs, Neville, RIO FERDINAND, Rooney, Carrick.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I sincerely doubt Ferdinand would stay, remeber this is the guy who kicked up a huge fuss because United were only going to offer him £90,000 a week instead of £100,000. He also walked out on his home town club as well as one of United's biggest rivals at the time.

Plus, Championship football wouldn't do his England captaincy chances much good.

Good points.

He loves United and is so passionate about the club however.
