Carlos Tevez says he understands why Cristiano Ronaldo would want to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid.

United are refusing to consider selling the Portugal winger but, speaking to the Spanish media, Tevez said: 'This is a personal decision which is up to only him. If what he seeks is something else, I think that should be respected.

Understanding: Carlos Tevezand Cristiano Ronaldo

'I understand Cristiano Ronaldo. Every footballer wants to play at Real Madrid, while on the other hand I also think that everyone wants to play for Manchester United. I have not talked to him, but when these things happen, neither side feels good.'

United midfielder Ji-Sung Park is a doubt for the start of the season after undergoing minor knee surgery.

He's hardly urging him. Just the media trying to unsettle a player.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
