Setanta’s comprehensive pre-season coverage continues on Tuesday with the English and Scottish champions, plus Liverpool and Arsenal, all continuing their preparations for the new campaign live across our stable of channels.

Manchester United’s tour of South Africa continues as the European champions face Orlando Pirates after drawing their opening game with Kaizer Chiefs.

SPL champions Celtic face Middlesbrough in the Algarve Cup, with Liverpool taking on Hertha Berlin and Arsenal visiting Szombathelyi Haliadas as the two Premier League giants take stock of their squads on the continent.

To subscribe to Setanta Sports for a huge list of pre-season friendlies, click here. Alternatively, if you're on the move, subscribe to Setanta By Broadband here.

The Gunners are the first side in action with their game in Hungary kicking off at 5.30pm, and all the action is live on Arsenal TV which is part of the Setanta package.

Gunners fans will be hoping to get a first sighting of Carlos Vela after his recall from Spain and new signing Samir Nasri is also in line to make his debut following a summer move from Marseille.

Another new arrival, Aaron Ramsey, will be looking to build on his impressive debut against Barnet but if Emmanuel Adebayor is handed an appearance, it remains to be seen what reception he will receive from travelling fans after his contractual dispute with the club this summer.

Attention then switches to nearby Germany where Liverpool face Hertha Berlin, with the game that is live on Setanta Sports 2 and Setanta By Broadband kicking off at 6.45 pm.

Rafa Benitez has handed debuts to new signings Andrea Dossena and Philipp Degen in the early part of the club’s pre-season programme and both full backs will be keen to catch the eye again in Berlin’s Olimpiastadion.

The game is also a further chance for youngsters Jay Spearing, Stephen Darby and Dani Pacheco to stake a claim for first team honours in the coming season.

Setanta Sports 1 is the place for Manchester United fans to follow their side as the Premier League champions’ game against Orlando Pirates kicks off at 7.10pm.

Rio Ferdinand is expected to make his first appearance of pre-season in the Vodacom Challenge but Wes Brown has returned home after a family bereavement.

After being held to a 1-1 draw in which Wayne Rooney was lucky to avoid a red card in their first outing in South Africa, Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping United’s second fixture goes somewhat more smoothly.

A meeting between Middlesbrough and Celtic in the Algarve Cup brings a close to Tuesday’s action in a game that kicks off at 9.30pm on Setanta Sports 1.

Boro will be looking to parade new signings Didier Digard and Marvin Emnes while Celtic welcome Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Artur Boruc back to the squad following their extertions at Euro 2008.

However, former Boro starlet Ben Hutchinson is injured along with summer signing Paddy McCourt.

MUST WATCH THE ARSENAL GAME AND HOPEFULLY NASRI AND VELA WILL PLAY.

I don't have training today so will be able to watch the United game :)

Might watch Arsenal too if DaG can find me some streams.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
