you would have had to have been very nieve if you didnt expect RVP to be injured for large parts of the season, the evidence is there that it would happen and just about every opposition fan expected it to happen. As for Rosicky, he's been similar.

Eduardo fair enough but it was not up front that you were lacking in depth was it? The problem came from knackering out Fabregas and other parts of your midfield, those were the areas you needed more depth in and they were thin on the ground before any injuries.

We had massive amounts of injury problems as the year went on, Central defence was a big problem and I doubt we could have known we would be missing Alonso and Agger for most of the season, however we bought in january in order to help that with the purchase of Skrtel. Without some of those buys there is every chance we would have ended up further down the table.

Fact is people were suggesting you were thin on the ground before january, are you suggesting that everyone else could see what Wenger couldn't?

Defence was not a problem because we have Gallas,Toure,Djoruou,Senderos and Song plus we missed Flamini and Sagna towards end of the season but I do accept we should have signed at least 1 player.

if he didnt have the money then that would suggest the club isn't run as financially well as we kept getting told, with wenger making profits on most of his transfers each season he should have had plenty of money to bring players in, especially when he usually finds them for bargain prices. The stadium payments are surely not sapping every last penny out of the club.

Wenger should have strengthened in January, simply as that, he didnt and it cost him

Jimmy I agree with you 1000% and have said this very same thing quite a few times. I am totally confident that Wenger chooses not to spend rather than is just restricted by low finances. Its just not possible that a team who have had 11 years of success and appearences in the CL would have the budget of Everton which is essentially what Wenger tells us. I am often called anti-Arsenal for saying this but thats just not true, a number of my favourite players play for Arsenal and I think that Wenger is a genius. The problem with genius is that its often flawed and this is the case with Wenger whose flaw seems to be that he's delusional and arrogantly stubborn.

In the time Wenger has been at the club he has spent less than the likes of Newcastle,Everton,Spurs and many other clubs but yet Arsenal have been the 2nd most greatest team in the last 20 years.

You're missing the point.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

I think you'll find that he's spent more than Everton. That still does not detract from the fact that something doesn't add up at Arsenal.

i've asked the question "where has the money gone" many times, but each time i seem to be hit with people denying there seems to be anything odd about the situation. Constantly I have been told about their new stadium, but that was done with loans so where is all the money made before it. Strikes me as a little odd

Its a mystery.

It is indeed, but I fail to appreciate Wengers rationale.
