Id prefer Gerrard and Hargreaves (soon to be Anderson) in CM.

Agree with Drogba and Torres, though i think Clichy / Evra is debateable - though i dont want to start a debate on it lol.

Hargreaves? LMAO. Very overrated midfielder. Anderson cant dictate a game or pass half as well as Cesc. Gerrard, dont even get me started on him.

Gerrard is a class act, you simply can't sit there and say he is a bad player. I know this is a commonly quoted Liverpool fan stat, but "20 goals and 20 assists" is miles better than anything Fabregas managed, and he's playing for a less creative team.

Hargreaves, is one of the most intelligen players in the prem, reads the game perfectly, distribution is not bad either, but he's in there to anchor the mid while Gerrard has licence to roam. Essien doesnt have enough discipline and i think is v.overrated, specially as a DM where he can't play.

Essien doesnt have discipline, just look at Gerrard then. Also, Gerrard is a poor distributor and cannot dictate a game. Essien is 3 times the player Stevie Me is..

Why does someone have to dictate a game to be a good player? There's about 5 players in the world who can effectively dictate a game.

There's ways of winning games without keeping possession, something Barca need to learn...

Gerrard is a match-winner but is too sloppy and wayward in distribution at times, much like Wayne Looney.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Scholes dictated the entire Liverpool game in March. The reason he is by far and away my favourite player is because you know exactly what you're getting from him, right decisions and accurate passes. He was the nucleus of the side in 06/07 constantly pulling the strings. Maestro, magician, genius, call him what you want but he never frustrates in possession.

And that's the reason the entire team play 2 yard passes to Scholes. They are advised to give it to a player that can distribute and let him pull the strings.

I was thinking Cesc, Xavi, Alonso, Pirlo and Scholes. I wouldnt say Kaka does, he's more of a second striker. Messi dominates games in a different way, and yeah, i suppose he does dictate them to some extent.
