The treble is a better achievement. I don't think United's team was better, no way, the Invincibles side was brilliant to watch, but the ultimate achievement in football is to win all competitions. An unbeaten season is great, sure, but when you're drawing 12 of your 38 games, fukinell, it hardly screams elite.

Which is more difficult? Surely the difficulty plays a part and it would seem than an unbeaten season is the more difficult of the achievements. I can see the argument behind both but the unbeaten season isn't given the credit it deserves in terms of how difficult it is to do. Then again Barca, Inter and Bayern having all accomplished trebles in recent years has probably seen the same happen to the treble.

Since United done the treble, 4 other teams have done it?! Oh wow, whilst no other team has gone unbeaten.

The treble, for me. To be able to remain victorious in two knockout competitions whilst still fighting off the league champions in Arsenal is quite incredible. Our cup runs were extremely difficult as well, considering we had to get past Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the FA Cup run and then Bayern and Barcelona in our group stage, followed by Inter, Juventus and Bayern again. We overcame a lot of big sides on a consistent basis. When you consider how hard it is to win the Champions League alone, something that Arsenal never have done, to mop up domestically as well in my opinion is a better achievement.

You've also got to consider that Arsenal side were very aware of their record and became very protective over it as it went on, racking up a lot of draws, plus United and Chelsea have both finished on higher totals previously. Obviously, it's an amazing achievement as nobody has done it since, but being so consistent against the best teams in the world over several competitions is better in my eyes.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

Seria A was just as big a joke as the Portuguese league when Juventus did it.

The 03/04 PL wasn't exactly a great standard either. Nowhere near what it is now.

Invincibles are by far the better team, played the best football the league has ever seen and went unbeaten, would've been 50 games had the granny shagger not dived, no debate at all really. Crying at the inclusion of that 04/05 Chelsea team, so what if they got more points? madrid's 2012 team got like 12 more points than arguably the greatest team ever in that Barca team. Chelsea 04/05 team couldn't beat us. They did beat our 03/04 team in Europe but that is a different ball game, luckiest win If I've ever seen one.

I love how most Arsenal fans mention the Rooney dive but forget the Cole foul on Ronaldo which should have been a penalty.

We went unbeaten in 49 games unbeaten and for me produced the greatest English club side. Stop whinging that we actually lost and appreciate the 49 games we didn't.
