It'd be close but Villarreal are a top side. They play good football and they're defensively solid, I think they have the 3rd best defence statistically but they've just lost their best CB of course. They're currently on an 18 game unbeaten run including a win over Atleti. Let's hope they get each other in the Europa League.

They were at the start of the season but they've improved recently haven't they?

Not really. Couldnt beat sheff utd convincingly at home , couldn't beat them at all away, lost to leicester at home. Relying on last minute goals in the league to rescue bang average performances . The performance against Chelsea was a one off. Were gonna batter them in 10 days at Anfield. Sturridge hattrick

Agree with Goonie. Spurs never do the business when you expect them to and Villarreal are always competitive.

Because Liverpool are doing a whole lot better, considering they managed to draw with Leicester at home, couldn't manage to beat Bolton at home in the FA Cup and have just been knocked out of the Capital One?

You're going to "batter" Spurs in 10 days time though, which is what I was in disagreement with.

Your disagreement is misplaced then. We're far superior to them when both teams have everyone fit and available

We've battered them by three or more goals the last three times we've played them

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart
