Real Madrid are ready to show Asier Illarramendi the door. The move for Lucas Silva can leave the midfielder in no doubt about his future prospects, although the former Real Sociedad player has been given a few days to get used to the idea that perhaps the time has come to leave.
It is not something he had been planning, but it looks like he is out of options. 'Los Blancos' did not even wait for a firm offer from Athletic de Bilbao to come in for Illarra which, as revealed by MARCA on Wednesday, is for a sum of close to €25 million.
The deal for Silva is all but done, which seems to signal that the next step will be to sit down with Athletic to negotiate Asier's transfer and see if the Bilbao outfit is really prepared to stump up the cash, if not they will look to the continent.

Anyone think pool should make a move? Can/Illarramendi/Henderson/Coutinho

Bilbao? DaFuck. Fuck them. Would be a better move for him if he went elsewhere.

He has a better passing range than Arteta, brilliant tackler and a great engine. We should be all over him.
