Felt like posting a topic. Thought it would be nice having a topic where we can compare 2 players and debate who's better whenever we wanted.

IMO try and avoid mainstream ones (Messi v CR7, Hazard v Sanchez), and give every debate about 2 days before moving on the next one. Actually give reasons instead of the whole quoting a post and replying with laughing emojis for fucks sake.

So I'll start us off with a fairly interesting one, wondering what you lot thought, try and be as objective as possible Arsenal fans.

Thierry Henry vs Ronaldo Luis (R9)

If we're going to make the comparisons a bit different why not compare two players from the same club and debate their standing in the clubs history e.g Lampard vs Terry etc......

Ronaldo all day, I have to side against Henry so much on here its unreal - taking nothing away from him, amazing player, but Ronaldo was a level above him, he achieved so much despite his misfortune - he would be the GOAT if he didn't have his injuries, his international record was fucking insane. Best #9 of all time.

Never won a CL with Zidane in his side. Both times both players met? The King scored the winner while the other wanted a burger.

Henry, faster, more explosive, Va va voom. I honestly don't know, mind telling R9 edges it, Heart telling me Henry. Either way it's close and no one is a 'level above' the other. Only players who are a level above both are the likes of Messi, Pele, Maradona etc.

Before Ronaldo's injury he was about as fast, powerful, explosive as it gets, after his knee injuries he lost his pace - matured and was still a 30 goal a season striker. Unreal player, we saw half of what he'd be and his career was still amongst the best ever.

I also can't recall a #9 being as two footed as he was ever, the lad could finish just as well with either foot, there are plenty of midfielder's out there and of course Cristiano, but a pure #9 like him? Rare breed.

I'd agree with him ahead of Henry but injury or not Messi would be going down as the GOAT ahead of him.

All I know is that if I was building a team, it would be around Henry instead.
