I can't read something that isn't there :deepthought: the reports I saw simply said we have enquired about him but he fancies a move to Real Madrid . I posted about him and simply said I doubt we would want him at his age and the fee that Monaco would want for him

This isn't going well for you mate is it  you probably should leave it there

Manchester City have also shown interest in the former Porto forward, with both Premier League clubs understood to be keen on a loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer. However, Falcao appears Real-bound.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

PSG call off Di Maria pursuit. As a United fan im a little conflicted, he would be an immense signing but where would he play in this Van Gaal system? Wingers are simply not needed, which makes me fear for Januzaj's development. BUT LGV did say he is only using this system because of the players he has right now and could revert to his tried and trusted 433. BUT why waste a whole pre season on a formation that we will abandon based on signings.

Basically I want him but Van Gaal doesnt and I have a feeling that this will blow up in his face. Especially if his rationale is to preserve this temporary formation.

Di Maria would probably be suited to play alongside Rooney/van Persie tbh, or just behind them. Same with Januzaj, i'm not sure what the worry is with him as his best position is central and one of the best games i've seen him in is when he was central vs Norwich when we won 4-0. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few games as a second striker.

How can you enquire about someone but not want him? Why would you enquire about someone if you werent interested in him?

Sorry to ask the same question twice but i cant get my head around asking if someone is available when you're not interested in them.

Centrally (as an AM behind two strikers) we already have Mata, Kagawa and potentially Rooney as well. With less games this season Januzaj would do well to get many games in that position unless we do the unthinkable and sell Kagawa.

What do you and fellow united fans think about Di Maria? At the start of the summer I wouldn't even second guess smashing our transfer record. Now I'm not so sure...

Rooney won't be playing that role this season mate i doubt, lad will be one of the front two every time. With a couple of decent cup runs there will be more than enough games for Januzaj. He's good enough to play for us, he's our brightest talent and this is van Gaal, who is experienced at getting the best out of young players. He's not just going to sack him off, he knows what he's doing.

I do agree about Di Maria though, if we were to buy him it would have to be at a few players expense because we're quite heavily stocked in his potential positions right now.

Oi Ant, apparently we're getting Zuculini on a season long loan.

Ahhhhh that'd be pretty gay. At least you'd have a world class midfield.
