Its a 5th - 7th place type of signing. Everton/Spurs level. If Liverpool lose Suarez and are intent on signing players like Lambert and Lalana then you can kiss goodbye to any hopes of staying in the Top 4. Once again Liverpool have an opportunity to capitalise and they are signing dross. I really dont get it. Lalana is an average player who had a good season in a small pond. Not CL quality imo

If we lose suarez we will replace him with a top striker. This is a signing we were going to make regardless and if improves our squad massively. It gives you different options and he fits in with our style of play.

He is a player that will be competing with coutinho and sterling most of the time so spending anymore on a bigger name would have been a bad decision

We have other areas that needto be addressed more than this.

Exactly, so why spend £25m?! Complete waste.

23m

We can just about afford that. Who else were we meant to go after? Sanchez? Di Maria ? They would be hard to get and would cost more

There are probably a few players out there we could have got for a bit cheaper but I can't think of many that we could get in this quick that is a very good player. he will settle right in and now we can sort out our mess of a defence

Dundee United teenager Ryan Gauld has signed for Sporting Lisbon on a six-year deal that includes a 60m euro (£48m) buyout clause.

Seems weird thinking they have a British connection with 2 players, but I suppose that's how rare it is for Brits to play abroad. Really hope he's successful.

It is weird how barely any english players go abroad, i guess why would they want to when the PL suits their style more and is the best league in the world. theres been more non-english brits with Bale, this Gauld lad and Kyle Lafferty was a regular for Palermo last season, but hes just moved back to England with Norwich

Club president Maurizio Zamparini called him an "out-of-control womaniser" and claimed that this lifestyle resulted in him being sold.

Norwich is a bit of a random place for a womaniser to base himself

Celtic look set to sign Craig Gordon on a two year deal, cant believe hes 31 now, what a waste of a career, hasnt played a competitive game for 2 years, jesus, risky replacement for Fraser Forster if he should leave to the PL
