Ander? Yes. Are you going to sign him? No.

FA Cup final is the same day as the Copa Del Rey final. I hope I don't have to miss Arsenal.

We are paying around the same price for Anders Herrera as Chelsea did for Fabregas. Lads 24 and hasn't even been called up for Spain and we are splashing £30m+ on a player that hasn't done anything of note in his career. Not to mention getting rinsed by Southampton for Shaw. Oh and let's not forget the nearly £30m we spent on Fellaini.

We must have the worst negotiating team in world football. No wonder Fergie kept saying there's no value in market.

I couldn't care less about the fees tbh, it's not me funding the deal; I'd happily see us pay them prices if it means we have 2 players already come the end of the World Cup.

If you don't care about the transfer fees then go support Real Madrid. I personally care about the financial stability and it's affect on the short and long term future of our club.

The reason i don't care about them is because if we're spending that sort of money we obviously have the finances to do it. I'm not sure what you want, first of all you're worried that we're going to have a shit window and then when we have rumours of deals in place for two players that would improved the areas we need to you complain about the amount of money they cost. We're not in the CL this season and our manager doesn't start till after the World Cup, you're going to have to get used to the idea that we may have to spend a bit more on players than would otherwise be necessary because we're not in a position to negotiate. If you're waiting for us to sign a top class player for around £20million you're being completely unrealistic and you'll be waiting for a very long time.

Paying an extra few million for a few players is hardly going to plunge us into debt, and if it was then we wouldn't be doing it. And Moe I seem to remember you complaining a lot about us haggling over a few million for transfer fees or player wages, one of the biggest failings of our negotiation team. Well here we are going the extra mile to get a player we want, and there's still a problem?

I swear if we were signing Herrera for 15-20m you wouldn't be saying well done to the negotiation team, they saved the club a few million. You'd be complaining that he's not a £30m+ top class midfielder.

It's not that hard to understand. The point of my post is that we over spend on transfer fees for players that aren't top tier which prevents us going for the world class players because we think they are unacheivable. And yes MY it is a double standard but from our club not me to allow another club to extort £5m more from us then say no deal when an agent wants a £2m fee.

Also Chris we don't have unlimited funds. I don't want us to be like Arsenal but compared to other clubs we just can't compete which is why I want us to get value for money for players like Fellaini and Herrera who shouldn't be considered as "top class" atm. Look at what happened to Spurs this year, yes they lost Bale but spent over £100m on some questionable signings just to please fans and they struggled. We can't afford another season like the one we had so we need to get the right players for the right money.
