--------------De Gea-------------
Rafael--Jones--Smalling--Shaw
--------Kroos---Gundogan------
Mata-------Rooney-----Januzaj
-----------van Persie------------

Could do with a quality CB, Hummels would be decent because Smalling/Jones/Evans are level below what we've been used to the past 25 years in Bruce/Pallister/Stam/Vidic/Ferdinand.

Would Kroos and Gundogan in a midfield two even work?
You really don't like defensive-midfielders do you mate?

Doesn't like a sturdy defence either judging by his CBs.

Winner.

That CB partnership that's played together once this season and kept a clean sheet?

Init, Smalling (24) and Jones (22) will be lifers. Could have a centre back partnership that would last ~ 8 years. Need to give them a chance considering Evans has had his. That's why I dunno who we'd sign for CB, players like Hummels ain't gonna move if we're gonna start the partnership and anyone a level below wouldn't be adequate because we need someone world class and I'm not sure if Smalling/Jones will be in the Ferdinand/Vidic/Stam category which we so desperately need.

One clean sheet in one game is hardly an amazing stat, who was it against

I also don't think we'll sign Shaw, we need a ready made LB + he's a Chelsea supporter and they'll be sniffing after him.

Think we might be in for Kroos this summer and Barkley the summer after with Carrick being 34.

Yeh, that one.

Seriously, Frank Lampard is an absolute legend of the game. He needs to be recognised in some way eg. Frank Lampard OBE, Sir Frank Lampard or some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Greatest ownage machine: Scholes. Absolute animal when he was a regular poster, I always knew I was in the right when he was backing me up, and I couldn't wait to read a topic that he was posting in because I knew he'd be tearing someone apart

So you're saying Smalling and Jones isn't going to be a good defensive partnership?

Lmao does it fuck. I'd rather have these two than any of Liverpools CBs; I'd rather have Evans as well.
